Jacky is a passionate advocate for animal welfare with a particular focus on cats and possesses a deep love for animals, kindness, and justice. For the past fifteen years, Jacky has served as the volunteer coordinator of a branch of Cats Protection, regularly interacting with the veterinary profession.

She takes great pride in her fantastic team and thoroughly enjoys the cat work, especially the heartwarming moments when she witnesses these furry companions finding new homes. Jacky considers her involvement in cat welfare a true labour of love and plans to continue dedicating herself to this cause for years to come.

Aside from her impactful work in animal welfare, Jacky has had a long and rewarding career in the NHS. Throughout her journey, Jacky earned several academic qualifications, including a PhD that explored clinician-manager conflict, a subject she believes applies to most professional-manager relationships.

Jacky resides in Surrey with her husband, Rob, and their three cherished cats. Together, they create a loving and nurturing home environment for their feline companions.
