After qualifying from the University of Cambridge in 1988, he embarked on a distinguished career in veterinary ophthalmology. David gained his Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology and a PhD in ocular immunology during his time at the Animal Health Trust and the Royal Veterinary College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Returning to Cambridge, he pursued his Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons with a dissertation on ocular abnormalities in farmed halibut, demonstrating his ongoing interest in exotic animal medicine. He furthered his academic achievements with a VetMD focusing on age-related cataracts in dogs, cats, and horses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>David is now a lecturer at the Queen\u2019s Veterinary School Hospital, where he leads the ophthalmology clinic and inspires the next generation of veterinary professionals. In addition, he is a Diplomate of the European College of Animal Welfare and Behaviour Medicine and holds a Doctorate in Education, specialising in veterinary ethics and animal welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Outside of his professional life, David is a licensed lay minister for a small church just north of Cambridge. His faith is central to his life, guiding his work and commitment to improving the lives of both animals and people.
