Laura has worked as a Companion Animal Veterinary Surgeon in Reading, Dover, Nottingham and Derby. She qualified from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 2009.

An expert in her field, Laura is interested in exotic animals and also does a bit of pet acupuncture. We spoke with Laura last year before she and her husband Stevie attempted to become the fastest couple ever to circumnavigate the globe by tandem bicycle. Laura and Stevie smashed the record, and join us this time to discuss their life-changing journey!

Dr Caroline Murray (Thursday 9th February)

Caroline graduated from Liverpool University’s Veterinary School in 1997, and has a bachelor’s degree in zoology as well as a master’s degree in Conservation & Wildlife Medicine.

Caroline has worked with a wide range of patients while traveling the world. She became an advocate for people experiencing difficult health problems, particularly those who have been diagnosed with chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS) after dealing with her own struggle with long-term health conditions.

Dr. Mike Davies (Thursday 23rd February)

Mike Davies has had a varied career, working in private practice (first and second opinions), academia (at veterinary schools in London and Nottingham), pharmaceutical companies, and the pet food industry.

Mike is passionate about nutrition and we discuss the benefits of a raw food diet for pets.

Dr. Russell Chandler (Thursday 9th March)

Russell finished his studies at Bristol University Veterinary School with a focus on orthopedic surgery, medicine and veterinary public health. Since then he has been awarded a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons’ Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics.

Laura became an RVN in 2010 and then gained the RCVS Advanced Nursing Diploma in 2014. In 2015, she moved to a multidisciplinary referral centre in Hampshire as an Internal Medicine nurse.

Laura loves internal medicine and takes a special interest in feline medicine, endoscopy and managing patients with chronic disease. She’s also an avid drag-racing motorcyclist!

Dr. Darragh O’Hanlon (Thursday 6th April)

In 2021 Darragh became an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner, and in 2022 he was awarded a Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology. Darragh enjoys all things dermatology—from ears to anal glands—with a special interest allergies.
